Great Motorcycles from the 1930's
1930 BSA Sloper
BSA motorcycles were sold as affordable motorcycles with reasonable performance for the average user. BSA stressed the reliability of their machines, the availability of spares and dealer support. The motorcycles were mixture of sidevalve and OHV engines offering different performance for difference roles, eg. hauling a sidecar. In 1927, BSA launched their Sloper range, so called because of the sloped engine layout. By 1930, they had a range of 16 models from a 174cc to 986cc twin. As the 30's recession hit home the range was reduced and models simplified to cut costs.
The Great Motorcycles of the 30"s coin collection is the world's first motorcycle pure silver coloured coin collection.
This Silver Coins comes certified that the 1 oz Silver Coin has been minted by New Zealand Mint by authority of the govenment of Cook Islands. The Coin, which is minted from .999 fine silver is a legal tender in that country.
The obverse design of the coin features the Rapheal Macklouf Effigy of the Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
