Circular Tui Bird Triptych – Tantrum Design
Bird Decor with a Difference
The Tui bird is one of the best loved native New Zealand birds. Unlike many other native birds, the Tui bird has flourished in modern New Zealand, feeding on the flowering plants in suburban gardens. With iridescent feathers which appear black in most lights, and a tuft of white feathers at its throat the Tui earned its early name of Parson Bird. The Tui bird is famous for its voice which is so vibrant that the Tui has leant its name to New Zealand’s national music awards.
This Tui Triptych shows the Tui against a background of which is reminiscent of the designs of Tukutuku panels, or woven wall panels in traditional Maori designs. Graceful flowering boughs of the Tui’s favorite food, the flax, also feature. The predominant colors of red, white and black look stunning, and will look fantastic in any home.
As well as looking great, Triptych art is easier to display in your home than a single larger art work. Because each of the panels is distinct, they can be arranged in any order so you can give your space a fresh look at any time.
Each panel of this Tui Triptych by Tantrum Design measures 130 x 130mm
